Ein wichtiger Meilenstein ist erreicht. Am 05.03.2020 konnte im Beisein der
Beteiligten SBB, ATG und ARGE CPC der Test „erstmalige Einschaltung der
Fahrleitung unter Strom“ (Fahrstrom 16.7 Hz) erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden.
Bevor aber die Züge fahrplanmässig durch den Ceneri-Basistunnel fahren können,
werden im Rahmen des nun gestarteten Testbetriebs sowie des nachfolgenden
Probebetriebs diverse Testfahrten / Testkilometer mit Zügen absolviert.
Der Testbetrieb begann am 01. März 2020 und dauert bis zum 31. August 2020.
